Description:
I found this radio in the trash after a fall clean out at a local university. The radio fully works. This radio was decommissioned by the university after they transitioned from a Logic Trunked Radio (LTR) system to a Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) system. I cleaned it and modded it the same as the other HT1250 LS+ I have. It has the engraving "AUX SVC 7" from the university. When I asked the security they said that the radio was decommissioned and not needed by the university.

Sound Effects:
Talk Permit Tone
This tone is used to indicate to the user that they are clear to talk on a trunked channel. It can be programmed on trunked systems. It indicates that the radio has authenticated with the system controller and you are free to talk on the system.
MDC-1200 ID Burst
This is what MDC-1200 sounds like when listened to in a raw transmission. MDC-1200 sends a 4 digit ID number over the air at the start, end, or both the start and end of a transmission. This specific ID burst contains the ID "0612"
Quick-Call 2
This is an example of what a Quick-Call 2 broadcast can sound like. Quick-Call 2 uses 2 different tones as a paging system typically in public safety radio systems. This specific audio has the tones 389.0 Hz and 410.0 Hz.
DTMF
This is an example of what a DTMF radio ID can sound like. DTMF is the same tone technology used on telephones to dial phone numbers. This specific audio has the numbers "0612".
