Description:
This is a bit of an unusual radio. I bought it because it was incredibly cheap on eBay. However, I discovered that extra parts are very hard to come across for this radio. Currently I am in a bit of limbo trying to get parts for the radio. I have found a battery, programming cable, Radio Interface Box (RIB), and the programming software. I am still trying to get a charger. I was able to read and write to the radio using the equipment that I have. The software is absolutely terrible with nearly no documentation about it. It took me 3 hours with trial and error to finally program the radio.

PTT Tone
This tone plays when the PTT button is pressed. This tone serves a similar function as the Talk Permit Tones on other radios. I'm not completely sure but if I had to wager a guess then I would assume that it also plays on trunked channels when the radio authenticates with the trunked system controller.
GE-Star
This is what GE-Star radio IDs sound like. This sound was acquired from www.w2sjw.com. I will replace this sound with my own recording once I can get the radio working properly!
DTMF
This is an example of what a DTMF radio ID can sound like. DTMF is the same tone technology used on telephones to dial phone numbers. This specific audio has the numbers "0612".
